The name "Enggang Manikam" is derived from two meaningful words.
Enggang means Hornbill, the iconic bird of Borneo that symbolizes wisdom, honor, leadership, harmony with nature, and freedom of spirit in the traditions of the Dayak people.
Manikam is an ancient Indonesian word meaning diamond or precious gemstone. It is often used in literature and poetry as a metaphor for something rare, beautiful, sacred, and of exceptional value.
