Teh Tambi

Located at Wonosobo, Central Java, Indonesia.

PT. Tambi manages three group of gardens (afdelings), Tambi, Bedakah and Tanjungsari and proceeds the leaves in three different factory at each afdeling. Tambi and Bedakah produces orthodox black teas, whilst Tanjungsari produces green and scented teas. Covers 825 hectares healthy tea plantation from seedlings, hybrids and some Gambung clones.

The tea plants in Afdeling Tambi grow in harmony with tropical mountain nature at 700 – 2,400 m ASL, with rainfall between 2,000-3,500 mm per year which is distributed almost throughout the year creating a specific tropical climate with humidity ranging from 70 to 90% at temperature levels between 10 and 23oC. This agroclimate allows the tea grows well and produce strong flowery aroma.
