Kulanta

Kulanta was born in Labanan Makarti Village, Berau, as a result of collaboration between the community, the SIGAP Program, the government, and various partners to increase the added value of local cocoa. Starting with cocoa seed assistance in 2020, processing training in 2021–2022, and the formation of the Kulanta Women Farmers Group, Kulanta has become a BUMK business unit that processes Berau cocoa beans entirely in its original area. Kulanta products are produced by local women, creating jobs and promoting Berau cocoa as one of the best cocoa in Indonesia. Through its premium line, Kulanta presents the distinctive taste of Berau cocoa while supporting farmer empowerment, environmental conservation, and the development of educational cocoa agrotourism as a source of regional pride.
