Kudungga Batik is a woven textile brand born from a deep concern for the preservation of Pallawa script, inscribed on the Yupa stone inscriptions in Kutai, East Kalimantan—one of the earliest traces of Nusantara's civilization history, yet still not widely recognized by the public. Kudungga Batik seeks to revive this ancient script through a creative approach, transforming the forms and characters of Pallawa into batik fabric motifs. By blending cultural preservation, design innovation, and fashion product development, Kudungga Batik presents textiles as a medium of education, reintroducing East Kalimantan's history and cultural identity in a more relevant, engaging, and accessible way for modern society.
