KSM Pucuk Rebung Rumah Tenun Kampung Bandar was established in 2012 as a community-based enterprise dedicated to preserving local culture and empowering the local economy, particularly women. Comprising 14 members—mostly women—the group provides weaving skills, economic independence, and entrepreneurial opportunities, enabling members to produce high-quality woven products while safeguarding regional heritage. Today, it has grown into a leading center for Siak Malay woven songket in Pekanbaru, producing not only fabric but also various derivative products and souvenirs such as shawls, bags, wallets, and tissue holders, all crafted with quality, unique motifs, and strong cultural values. Beyond being an SME, KSM Pucuk Rebung serves as a vital platform for cultural preservation and economic empowerment, striving to sustain traditional weaving arts while enhancing the competitiveness of local products in both national and international markets.
