Ki Basic

Ki Basic is Papuan Brand under an SME’s named KI MADE IN PAPUA, developed since 2021. Our brand name adopts Indigeneous language of the Namblong Tribe, Papua namely Ki, which means woman or female.

Since 2022 we work with the woman noken artisans in rural area of Genyem in Jayapura regency, Papua, Indonesia to create products inspired from traditional practices of Noken. Our mission is to preserves and introducing Namblong cultures of making a traditional knitted bag named Kbo (Noken - traditional Papuan knitted bag listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2012).
