CV. Smart Batik Indonesia (Smart Batik) is an innovative batik company from Yogyakarta, founded in 2018. We produce and market distinctive batik featuring thematic motifs inspired by mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, technology, history, geography, fisheries, agriculture, music, sports, engineering, language, and culture. In 2023, we pioneered the use of palm wax a derivative of palm oil as a more environmentally friendly and healthier alternative to traditional batik wax, significantly reducing respiratory risks for batik artisans. This breakthrough positioned Smart Batik as a pioneer of the halal batik industry in Indonesia.

Building on this innovation, we have expanded into the green batik movement by combining palm wax with natural dyeing techniques. Today, we collaborate with 60 local batik makers, the majority of whom are rural mothers, empowering them with sustainable livelihoods. A portion of our profits is reinvested into environmental initiatives, such as mangrove planting, and educational programs, including batik training, to ensure the long-term preservation of both culture and nature.
