Batik Sekar Nitik

Batik Sekar Nitik is a community-based Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) specializing in the production of traditional Indonesian batik textiles (wastra), particularly authentic handmade Nitik batik. Our batik is renowned for its distinctive artistic process and unique characteristics, which earned Geographical Indication (GI) Certification in 2019, recognizing Nitik Batik as a cultural heritage with a unique origin and identity.

What makes Nitik Batik exceptional is its intricate motifs, created using specially designed canting (traditional wax pens) and a distinctive batik-making technique that differs from conventional batik. These techniques produce symmetrical patterns that closely resemble the appearance of woven textiles, making Nitik Batik one of Indonesia's most remarkable traditional textile arts. Our production center is located in Kembangsongo Village, RT 03, Trimulyo, Jetis, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, approximately 11 kilometers southeast of Yogyakarta City.
